The Fusion 2K provides low air loss pulsation (active therapy) for users that may be at higher risk of skin breakdown. The Fusion 2K provides movement and therapy for comfort and increased healing. Immersion and envelopment into the mattress reduces peak pressure points by pressure redistribution. It is designed to minimize the effects of shear and friction during user’s movement and bed articulation. The Fusion 2K uses air therapy to create an optimal wound-healing environment as well as microclimate control. Advanced microprocessors also continually monitor user’s immersion. The Fusion 2K is an ideal mattress system for the prevention and treatment of stage I-IV pressure injuries.
With 3.5” wide transfer edges, the Fusion 2K enables safer transfers on and off the surface and reduces the risks of falls. The transfer edges as well as base unit of this mattress system are all coated in a fluid resistant nylon fabric. This allows for easy clean up and eliminates risk of contamination to any foam components.
CONSTRUCTION 18 28”x 5” Denier Covered Polyurethane air cells set inside a foam crib.
The foam crib creates the 3.5” transfer borders on each side of
the air cells, as well as 1” foam border at the head and base of the crib.
The entire foam crib is covered in a disinfect able nylon fabric.
